Hive is mixed-use development at its best: a blend of offices, retail and housing that has enlivened Oakland’s emerging Uptown District.
The project consists of 104 apartments, which opened in 2015, and 100,000 square feet of commercial space, with tenants including Numi Tea, Firebrand Bakery, Drake’s Brewing Co. and others. It’s also home to Impact Hub, a co-working space and events venue. The commercial and retail space opened in 2014, with Impact Hub the first to move in.
